Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Network & Systems Engineer to become part of our dynamic team, delivering on-site support to a Federal Law Enforcement agency located in Maryland. This position combines network engineering, systems/application integration, and hands-on customer engagement. The ideal candidate is a proactive technical expert capable of designing, enhancing, and maintaining mission-critical applications and networks in secure environments, while acting as a trusted advisor to our federal law enforcement client.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain Gladiator OSS applications and network solutions both on-site and remotely.
• Oversee the integration of systems and applications within customer networks and security protocols.
• Perform comprehensive testing of application and network systems to validate functionality, performance, and compliance with security standards.
• Diagnose and resolve complex application and network issues, delivering root-cause analysis and long-term solutions.
• Keep detailed records of application deployments, network setups, installations, and modifications.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and user satisfaction.
• Offer technical assistance and mentorship to team members and end-users.
• Remain informed on DHS policies and best practices concerning network architecture and security.
• Track emerging technologies and propose adoption strategies to improve operational efficiency.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for the customer, ensuring smooth operation of deployed applications and network infrastructure.

Skills and Requirements
Qualifications
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline with 8+ years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Extensive experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure/AWS cloud platforms, and enterprise firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
• Proven ability to deploy, integrate, and support enterprise applications in secure network environments.
• Strong background in designing, implementing, and managing complex networks and application systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Highly motivated, capable of working independently, mentoring peers, and serving as a reliable technical advisor to clients. Preferred Skills
• Familiarity with CALEA compliance and lawful intercept protocols.
• Expertise in using network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark) for packet-level diagnostics and protocol troubleshooting.
• Experience in monitoring application and network performance using enterprise-grade tools to assess and improve system health.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming to automate deployment, monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Innovative approach to solving technical problems and enhancing application efficiency.
Benefits
The compensation package includes a $12,000 annual medical stipend, 401(k) with company match, profit sharing, stock options, and 20 days of paid time off in addition to Federal holidays.
Compensation: $170,000-$210,000/year. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
