    Description

    You will be working on a team that is building a cloud-based development environment. You will work with a multi-disciplinary collaborative team of hardware, software engineers and security specialists to design and implement a secure cloud-based software development and maintenance environment. You will be part of our employee-owned international research and engineering company.     Staff Cloud Engineer – Cloud Platforms Position Requirements:

    + **U.S. Citizenship** (No exceptions; green card holders are not eligible)

    + **Current DoD Secret Clearance (or higher)**

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, CS, or other closely related field with 5-7 years of relevant work experience **OR** MS with 3-5 years of relevant work experience

    + Successfully acquire and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access

    + Successfully obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+, CCNA-Security, etc.) within 60 days of hire

    + Good oral & written communication skills

    + Excel as a team player and strive to maximize team & department performance

    + Willing to work on-site, daily, at our Raleigh, NC or San Antonio, TX location

    Staff Cloud Engineer – Cloud Platforms Preferred Experience & Skills as a Cloud Engineer:

    While the qualifications listed above are important, the following experience can help you ramp up quickly and maximize your impact:

    + Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or other cloud platforms

    + Proficiency in programming languages like: C++, Java, Go or Python

    + Familiarity with containerization technologies like: Kubernetes, Helm, Amazon ECS/EKS or OpenShift

    + Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as: Jenkins, GitLab or Argo

    + Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack)

    + Basic knowledge of monitoring tools similar to: AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, Prometheus or Grafana
