Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, is looking to hire a **Senior Software Engineer** to support our Mission Systems Command, Control Communications, Cyber Intelligence and Autonomy (C4I&A) organization. This role focuses on secure software development, automation, and continuous improvement in support of critical communication and cyber intelligence programs.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, integration, and protection of software solutions that directly support C4I&A programs. You will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure that security and reliability are embedded into every stage of the software lifecycle, enabling seamless delivery of mission-critical systems.

This position will sit at our **Aguadilla, PR** location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

This role is categorized as **hybrid** , with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

What YOU will do:

+ Secure Development: Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, high-performing software solutions.

+ Automation: Build and refine CI/CD pipelines to automate development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

+ Integration & Testing: Integrate and validate software in an Agile development environment.

+ Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure security, quality, and operational practices are consistently applied.

+ Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks throughout the software lifecycle.

+ Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.

+ Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to Collins Aerospace development processes, security requirements, and industry best practices.

Qualifications you must have:

+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

+ Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).

+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

+ Proficiency in software development with secure coding practices.

+ Experience with automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development environments.

+ Knowledge of software security principles, risk mitigation, and vulnerability management.

+ Experience with embedded software development in C++.

+ Proficiency in Linux, scripting (Python, Perl, Shell).

+ Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Cloud.

+ Experience in cryptographic system design and implementation.

+ Exposure to system engineering principles and full software lifecycle execution.

+ Knowledge of hardware-software integration in real-time embedded systems.

+ Familiarity with Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Coverity.
