    About the Role:

    As a CBRE Software Engineer Principal (Solution Architect), you will architect new solutions and re-architect existing solutions in support of the business and technology goal and objectives.

     

    This job is part of the Software Engineering job function. They are responsible for successfully delivering system improvements to increase efficiency, drive revenue or otherwise create a competitive advantage.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Define architectural specifications for medium to high-level projects. Ensure feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems and platforms in the Commercial Real Estate domain for Property Management, Property Accounting and Fund Accounting solution.

    + Create architectural specifications and ensure they integrate with existing systems and platforms across a broad mix of technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, SAAS, COTS, home grown) service a broad range of functions (Accounting, AI Automation, Web Portals, Data Warehousing). Assist with designing and tuning systems for scalability, performance, and high availability.

    + Serve as liaison between line of business and enterprise technology teams to develop and align technical strategies and roadmaps.

    + Explain difficult concepts to non-technical team members.

    + Serve as the primary architectural point of contact on client engagements of critical value to the organization.

    + Architect the resolution of data, system, and software issues in the production environment.

    + Liaise directly with clients on strategic engagements and with strategic partners on system and data integration.

    + Evaluate new platforms, tools, and technologies.

    + Apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles, advanced techniques, and theories to create unprecedented solutions.

    + Showcase in-depth expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques, and/or technologies within own function.

    + Use experience and knowledge of all job areas within a function, practical experience in several functional areas or businesses, or concentrated knowledge of a particular discipline to coach and guide others. Mentor engineering technical leads on architecture solutioning.

    + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Negotiates with senior management, customers, regulators, or vendors to influence decisions of strategic importance. Anticipate potential objections, and persuade others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.

    What You’ll Need:

    + Bachelor's Degree preferred with 10-15 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

    + Multi-dimensional, conceptual, and innovative thinking to develop new solutions.

    + Ability to identify and solve the most complex problems.

    + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

    + Expert organizational skills with an unrivaled inquisitive mindset.
