    Job Summary

    Follows policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations | Follows and/ or develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures & systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 & AS9100 standards), quality audits/ review process, etc. Responsibilities are within the Quality Assurance Methods Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines

    Essential Functions

    + Prepares and implements quality assurance policies, procedures & review cycles

    + Manages internal audit program; internal & customer required audit schedules, leads audits, and creates audit reports

    + Evaluates audit findings and aids in the implementation of appropriate corrective actions

    + Maintains and improves Quality Management System and generate reports as needed

    + Creates, updates & leads Quality training as needed

    + May administer the material review boards & database

    + May also lead or support various projects as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    + Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

    + Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree

    + Discipline/Major: Quality or related degree preferred

    + Knowledge, skills & abilities: Batch Testing. Inspection. Nondestructive Testing. Product QA. Quality Assurance Process. Quality Improvement. Quality Inspection. Quality Management System (QMS).

    + Certifications: AS9100

    Physical Requirements

    + Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

    + Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.

    + May need to stand for long periods of time.

    + Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.

    + May be requested to work a different shift.

    + This position is Safety-Sensitive.
