Job Summary and Qualifications

Oversees the daily operations of the Quality Management Department and provides guidance to the staff, and conducts staff evaluations to ensure alignment and achievement of operation goals. Seeks consult from the executives and Vice President of Quality as needed. The position requires a thorough knowledge of the quality management practices, hospital policies/ procedures and regulatory requirements. The ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority is required. Medical records reviews, interactive associations and managerial tasks are inherent in this position. Coordination of peer review committees, including agendas, logistics and minutes are critical. The ability to retrieve, communicate and present data and information verbally and in writing is essential. Collaborates with members of the healthcare team to abstract medical records for core measures and HBIPS and educate team members regarding the same.

What qualifications you will need:

+ 4 year Bachelor Degree

+ 3 to 5 years experience

+ 1 year of hospital experience, preferred

+ FL RN Licensure or recognized compact licensure (subject to Florida State licensing requirements, including but not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care hospital. Offering a full range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast. Lawnwood Hospital provides interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery. Other hospital services include labor/delivery, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, adult and pediatric emergency services, and diagnostic services. We also offer inpatient, and outpatient surgical services.

Lawnwood Hospital is a designated Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Physical Rehabilitation Center is CARF accredited. We are a Level II Trauma Center. We are verified by the American College of Surgeons. We offer a freestanding ER in Vero Beach. We provide emergency treatment for adults and children.
