Access Operations Embedded Trainer

With collaboration from Revenue Cycle Training Director and/or Senior Training Specialists, implements training tools, instructs participants in the EMR system and related functions using approved curricula. Serves as a liaison to assigned clinics, observing and monitoring these functions while providing feedback to management and specialized instruction to clinic staff. Helps in the implementing of system enhancements and performs subsequent follow up and reporting of the Registration and Scheduling systems.
+ Instructional Design and Curriculum Development.
+ Conducts technical and informational training classes and/or onsite sessions, both on a regular and as needed basis for the Service Line
+ Observes staff working on Patient Access functions in clinic setting.
+ Serves as training representative for interdisciplinary projects as assigned
+ In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred in education, health or IT related majors
Experience: 3 years relevant experience in a Help Desk/Information Systems setting or with Scheduling and/or Registration at UVA.
Licensure: Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) by the NAHAM required within 18 months of hire date.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to noise, radiation, radioactive materials, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
Position Compensation Range: $18.01 - $36.02 Hourly
