Radiology Reading Room Coordinator

Reviews and analyzes EPIC Reading Room reports and documents audit results. Interacts with various teams to ensure corrective actions and brings QA observations to closure. Maintains audit database information with guidance from IS department ensures accuracy and completeness. Provides oversight for audits delegated to internal departments of radiology. Maintains working knowledge of EPIC PACS and Power Scribe systems. Provides guidance and relevant training/support to all department staff. Interacts with multiple functional groups and supports the development and implementation of new and existing workflow. Interacts with multiple functional groups and provides feedback and promotes continuous improvement across the department of radiology. Supports radiologist assigned to reading rooms with interpretation of studies. Represents QA on various project teams initiatives and participates in special assignments as determined by area supervisor and/or department manager.
+ Ensures that the quality assurance activities are comprehensive coordinated and includes review and reporting of appropriate information.
+ Participates cooperatively within the team to efficiently fulfill the goals and responsibilities of the department.
+ Participates in various teaching and/or learning opportunities.
+ Collects analyzes and oversees data reflected in reports of mis-dictations preliminary and final Radiological reports.
+ Implements corrective action when problems or opportunities are identified.
+ Monitors physician reading rooms.
+ Supports and participates in departmental focus groups.
+ In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School graduate or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience: 1 year relevant experience required.
Licensure: None required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
Position Compensation Range: $12.41 - $24.24 Hourly
