    Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network.     Export Control Requirement:

    As the MES Leads the strategic planning and execution of comprehensive testing protocols for Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications, ensuring robust validation of functionality, performance, and integration before production deployment. Collaborate with development, operations, and business stakeholders to maintain quality standards and minimize deployment risks.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    Execute test cases using TOSCA for automated testing across MES applications

     

    Perform load/stress testing using NeoLoad for performance validation

     

    Design and maintain automated test scripts for regression testing

     

    Create and update test documentation and validation protocols

     

    Develop test scenarios in TOSCA aligned with business requirements

     

    Configure NeoLoad for performance benchmarking and stress testing

     

    Maintain test data and environment configurations

     

    Support CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing

     

    Document test results and maintain traceability matrices

     

    Track and report defects through resolution

     

    Support UAT activities with business users

     

    Cross-functional Support

     

    Collaborate with development teams on testing integration

     

    Work with operations for deployment validation

     

    Participate in test planning and strategy sessions

    Support release management activities

    A day in the life

    A typical day for an MES Test Engineer involves a blend of hands-on testing and collaborative activities. The day often begins by reviewing automated test results from overnight TOSCA runs and addressing any critical failures. Throughout the day, they execute test cases for new MES functionality, run performance tests using NeoLoad, and analyze the results. They work closely with developers to investigate and document defects, while maintaining test scripts and environments. Time is split between executing manual tests, enhancing automated test suites, and supporting UAT sessions with business users. The role requires adaptability as priorities can shift based on production needs and deployment schedules.

     

    About the team

     

    Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

     

    Our team focuses on building Enterprise System Applications for manufacturing satellites. Your customers are Manufacturing, Operations and the Supply Chain teams at Kuiper.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 3+ years of technical product or program management experience

     

    - 2+ years of software development experience

     

    - 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

     

    - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

     

    - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, with 3+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.

     

    - Proven expertise in using automated testing tools, specifically TOSCA for functional testing and NeoLoad for performance testing, with the ability to create and maintain complex test scripts.

     

    - Strong understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and related manufacturing processes, coupled with experience in quality assurance methodologies and best practices in a regulated industry.

    Preferred Qualifications

    - 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

     

    - Advanced proficiency in TOSCA automation framework (including test design patterns and script optimization) and NeoLoad performance testing (including complex load scenarios and result analysis) with demonstrated experience in manufacturing systems testing.

     

    - Certification in testing methodologies (ISTQB/CSTE) and hands-on experience with test management tools like ALM/Jira, plus demonstrated expertise in CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing.

     

    - Prior experience in regulated industries (e.g., Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Food & Beverage) with understanding of GMP, FDA, or similar compliance requirements for systems validation.

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
