    Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented **Continuous Improvement** **Leader** based at our manufacturing facility located in **Berea, Kentucky.** In this role, you'll play a critical part in driving process excellence, leading CI teams, and shaping the future of our operations through innovation and data-driven improvements.

    What you will do:

    + Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing Continuous Improvement (CI) team, including both direct and indirect reports.

    + Identify, prioritize, and lead initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on automation, robotics, and digital systems.

    + Guide the development of accurate, safe, and cost-effective processes using lean manufacturing and DFT principles.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally to support new product introduction (NPI), capital projects, and strategic automation initiatives.

    + Utilize tools such as APQP (FMEA, Control Plans, MSA), 6σ, and GPS to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.

    + Monitor and report on CI metrics and performance dashboards to ensure alignment with business objectives.

    + Drive the adoption of advanced manufacturing methods and equipment through research, capital project planning, and execution.

    + Support daily production needs by addressing issues and implementing permanent corrective actions.

    + Provide leadership in associate development, performance management, and team engagement.

    What you will need:

    + Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (engineering or related), or an Associate’s degree with 7–10 years of equivalent manufacturing experience.

    + 7–10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, or engineering leadership roles.

    Skills, Experience & Abilities

    + Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate CI teams and cross-functional groups.

    + Deep understanding of lean manufacturing, DFT principles, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.

    + Hands-on experience with a variety of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, assembly, and automation.

    + Proficient in using CI tools like FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, Poka Yoke, 6σ, and project management practices.

    + Skilled in the development and execution of capital projects, including cost justification and stakeholder engagement.

    + Comfortable using Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems; experience with PLC, machine logic, or digital manufacturing systems is a plus.

    + Strong communication skills with the ability to lead presentations, facilitate meetings, and align teams around shared goals.
