    As an Industrial Machinery Mechanic at Weatherford, you will be responsible for the expert repair, installation, adjustment, and maintenance of sophisticated industrial machinery systems both in the field and shop environments. You'll ensure all equipment meets rigorous quality standards and operates at peak efficiency, directly supporting our critical offshore operations and maintaining Weatherford's reputation for excellence in the energy services sector.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Execute precise repair and maintenance operations on specialized rental equipment according to OEM specifications and company protocols, ensuring all equipment meets quality standards and is fully operational for offshore personnel.

    + Documentation & Quality Assurance: Maintain comprehensive, detailed records of all maintenance activities to ensure complete traceability throughout the equipment lifecycle while strictly adhering to Weatherford's quality assurance systems.

    + Technical Assessment: Perform expert evaluation of equipment condition, accurately gauging wear patterns and determining maintenance needs to maximize equipment lifespan while ensuring operational safety and compliance.

    + Component Replacement: Skillfully install new or reconditioned parts with precision, ensuring proper fit, function, and adherence to engineering specifications.

    + Material Handling: Safely operate specialized lifting devices, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment while maintaining rigorous safety protocols and conducting required daily inspections.

    + Workplace Safety: Proactively maintain an immaculate and hazard-free work environment, ensuring strict compliance with all QHSE protocols and proper use of protective equipment by all personnel and contractors.

    + Fabrication: Perform skilled cutting and welding procedures to fabricate or modify components as needed for equipment repair and maintenance.

    + Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work seamlessly with other departments to achieve organizational goals while maintaining effective communication with both internal teams and external clients.

    + Adaptability: Respond efficiently to additional responsibilities as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to meeting business requirements

    Qualifications

    + Minimum 2 years of formal technical training in mechanical systems or equivalent qualification

    + Proven 2+ years of hands-on mechanic/maintenance experience in industrial settings

    + Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics

    + Basic computer literacy and ability to learn specialized software systems

    + Working knowledge of electronic and hydraulic systems theory

    + Valid driver's license with clean driving record

    + Availability for flexible scheduling, including extended hours when required

    + Reliable telephone access for 24-hour on-call rotation

    + Operational familiarity with Weatherford equipment and systems

    + Current certification in counterbalance forklift operation

    + Valid overhead crane operation certification

    + Formal training in proper manual handling techniques

    + Post-apprenticeship experience in mechanical engineering applications

    + Experience with JD Edwards enterprise software

    + Background in energy services or offshore equipment maintenance

    + Troubleshooting complex mechanical systems

    + Hydraulic system maintenance and repair

    + Precision measurement and calibration

    + Interpretation of technical documentation

    + Safe operation of specialized maintenance equipment

    + Basic fabrication and welding techniques

    + Inventory management and parts requisition

    + Ability to lift and manipulate components weighing up to 50 pounds

    + Capacity to work in various positions including standing, bending, and reaching

    + Manual dexterity for precision work with tools and equipment

    + Potential exposure to typical shop environment conditions

    Travel Requirements

    This position may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to 10% of work time to support field operations and customer sites.
