DESCRIPTION:

As an **Engineering Manager** at Frontier-Kemper, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team of 10 Professional Engineers, along with more than eight engineers, designers, and detailers based in Evansville, IN.

+ Oversee all engineering and design functions across three operational divisions: Heavy Civil Tunneling, Mine Development, and OEM Equipment Manufacturing/FKC-Lake Shore.

+ Manage and maintain project engineering schedules and budgets.

+ Serve as the technical liaison with Division Managers, clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.

+ Direct and coordinate engineering, operational, and quality initiatives to improve cost, delivery, and performance.

+ Ensure that all designs meet commercial, customer, regulatory, safety, and quality standards.

+ Lead three discipline managers in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering.

+ Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

REQUIREMENTS:

+ Bachelor’s degree or higher from an ABET-accredited institution.

+ Minimum of 15 years of related engineering experience.

+ Minimum of 10 years of operations management and/or engineering leadership experience.

+ Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.

+ Strong technical background in Heavy Civil or Mining Construction.

+ Equipment design and manufacturing experience preferred.

+ Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating high-performing engineering teams.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Strong analytical and computer skills.
