    Work Schedule: Evenings with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

    Hours:

    Primary shift: 3:00pm-11:00pm, 4:00pm-12:00mid Secondary shift : 11:00pm-7:00am Weekend and Holiday rotation Work Location : Mount St. Mary's Hospital Lewiston and Lockport sites.

    Summary:

    Primary responsibility is to perform tests on body fluids to provide information for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The ability to properly handle specimens, which will be analyzed at a later time is required. The ability to prioritize work to ensure efficient performance is required.

     

    Mount St. Mary's Hospital consists of multiple locations and associate may be assigned as needed

    Responsibilities:

    EDUCATION

    + Associates (AAS) Medical Laboratory Technology degree or related discipline required

    + Must have valid NYS Clinical Laboratory Technician license reflected within the NYS Office of Professions prior to starting

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

    + Excellent oral and written communication skills

    + Ability to obtain information and interpret this information in terms of the patient's needs

    + Knowledge of growth and development

    + Understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients
