    The Opportunity

     

    Join us today as an Insurance Accounting Manager! HUB PR’s Insurance Accounting Manager works closely with the Finance Director, the accounting team and organization leaders to ensure top of the line service. Interacts with insurance companies and clients to guarantee that HUB Puerto Rico’s books are up to date. Sense of urgency, attention to detail and to be customer oriented is essential to comply with our service standards.

     

    A day in the life…

    + Supervise the day-to-day of a staff comprised of three accountants.

    + Oversee all P&C related collections activities.This includes receiving, analyzing, posting & depositing all P&C commission statements.

    + Oversee & prepares monthly & quarterly broker commission payments and related nuances as deferred balances. Also, quarterly producer (employees) commission payments.

    + Manage all journal entries during month-end closing to ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue and expenses reported.

    + Manage all relationships with premium financing, as well as manage the accounting and revenue recognition related to these transactions.

    + Assist Finance Director on special projects and completeness of the balance sheet reconciliations.

    What you will need for success

    + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

    + Brokerage Industry Knowledge.

    + EPIC System Expertise.

    + Supervising experience of at least three years.

    + Innovate and collaborative mindset that leads to productivity improvement.
