    JOB SUMMARY: The Manager is an administrative leader who is responsible for providing input in the overall planning, and management of the Dialysis Unit. The Manager works to model patient safety, patient advocacy, teamwork, respect and efficiency. The Manager is responsible for creating a professional practice environment that focuses on the customer. Administrative responsibilities include: all aspects of staff management, budget review and understanding, hire/direct/oversee all personnel within the respective department, performance evaluation reviews, staff education, effective response to physicians, patients, and family members regarding departmental concerns, quality improvement programs, professional developmental programs for staff, patient satisfaction and preparation/maintenance of regulatory requirements such as DNV, CMS and OSHA. The Manager is responsible for communicating the above to staff and other members of the healthcare and administrative team.

     

    KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: One-year clinical nursing experience in Dialysis including two years of nursing supervisory experience with understanding of clinical practice in specified area preferred. Strong familiarity with all aspects of hospital operations and experience in fiscal and human resources.

     

    EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited RN nursing program. BSN preferred

     

    LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: State of Montana licensure as a Registered Nurse required. BLS certification required.

    + Experience with the concept of Shared Governance preferred.

    + Ability to implement and sustain high level of success with Core Measures applicable to the department. Demonstrates ability to function as high performer.

    + Maintains a positive environment.

    + High visibility within departments.

    + Ability to foster an integrated environment with the CTC and Inpatient Oncology departments.

    + Ability to manage supply costs and budget.

    + Understanding of accountability and ownership of actions.

    + Prompt and efficient in response regarding all aspects of departmental concerns.
