General Description:
The Student Services Generalist provides administrative and technical support to the Registrar’s Office to ensure efficient and accurate handling of student records. This position is responsible for assisting with the management of the transcript evaluation and chargeback process. The individual will also assist with course schedule updates and processing graduation. Additionally key functions will include, organizing documentation, scanning and linking documents into the student information system, and managing general office email correspondence. The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Characteristics, Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with the evaluation and entry of transfer credits into student’s accounts.
• Assist with processing Chargebacks in collaboration with other departments and external institutions.
• Assist with course schedule updates and graduation processing.
• Assist with the organization and processing of student documentation to ensure timely and accurate records.
• Scan, link, and manage student records using Perceptive Content, Ellucian Colleague Student Information System, and AssureSign digital documentation software.
• Manage general office communications, including responding to inquiries via email and phone in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of student records in compliance with FERPA and college policies.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience:
• Experience in a Registrar, Admissions, Student Services or Academic office environment.
• Familiarity with student information systems or document management platforms.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• This position’s duties are normally performed in a typical interior/residence work environment, based on the activity scheduled.
• Some physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
• Some travel required.
