Job Summary

Exciting opportunity for a summer intern! Selected student(s) will gain utility knowledge in the Dominion Energy South Carolina Transmission Operations Center. The position is located in Cayce, South Carolina.

Selected student(s) will gain utility knowledge in the electric transmission area. Duties may include but are not limited to:

+ Maintain/update DESC transmission system model database

+ Prepare documentation for generator interconnection reports

+ Update transmission system maps and cases as necessary

+ Assist other engineers in the group to perform various power flow studies

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

+ Must have strong computer knowledge and skills with demonstrated ability to learn and powers system modeling and Microsoft Office products

+ Must have good verbal and written communication skills

+ Able to work independently and as a team

Education Requirements

+ Must be in process of obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.

+ Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher.

+ Must have a graduation date of Fall 2026 or later
