    *Qualifications and requirements*

     

    Behavioral Health Therapist provides psychiatric assessment and therapy to individuals, groups, and/or families. Therapist functions in a direct practice role that includes diagnostic reasoning, clinical decision making, patient/family education, consultation, counseling, utilization management, and discharge planning.

     

    * Graduate from a university program in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Nursing, or MSW.

    * TTwo (2) recent years clinical experience preferred.

    * Duties will include intakes, individual, group and family therapy, and case and treatment planning.

    * Current or eligible license in New Mexico as a Psychologist, CNS, LISW/LMSW, LPC/C or LMHC.

    * Medical Staff credentialing for independent therapy provision must be initiated upon employment.

    * Must be credentialed as a Behavioral Health Therapist within one (1) year of employment.

    * Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
