Campus Title: Adjunct Instructor, Drinking Water Operator Pre-Certification Courses

Budget Title: Adjunct

Salary Range: $50.00/hour

Duration: Fall Semester (with the possibility of future semesters)

Brief Description of Duties:

SUNY Morrisville seeks candidates for the position of Instructor to teach Drinking Water Operator Pre-Certification courses for our Environmental Training Center!

The instructor shall be responsible for course preparation and the following:

+ Prepare training and teaching materials and appropriate assessments

+ Administering pre-certification courses for Drinking Water Operators

+ Water Operations courses include Grades B, C, and D Water Operator Training

+ Managing laboratory safety and operating procedures

+ Supporting off campus tours/worksites to adhere to curriculum

Current Course Schedule:

November 2025 courses

+ Grade B Water 11/17 - 11/21

+ Day Time Classes

*Possibility of more courses

Job Requirements:

Minimum Required Qualifications

+ 3+ years experience working as a Grade B (or higher) Water Plant Operator

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

+ Previous experience training or instructing adult students

+ Understanding of Microbiology, Chemistry, Physics, and/or Math as it relates to drinking water treatment
