Position Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNA I) works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse(RN). The CNA I administers direct patient care services with in the scope of practice as governed the North Carolina Board of Nursing. The CNA I also facilitates the work of the MD and RN. The CNA I assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to all ages of patients while following the policies and procedures of GHS.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a certification from NC approved nursing assistant program as a CNA I and currently listed on the Nurse Aide I Registry with the NC Division of Facility Services. Must be able to follow written or verbal instructions effectively. Current CPR is required upon hire.
