    Description

    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented System Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of servers, networks, and related systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, proactive monitoring, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and applications.

    + Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.

    + Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across systems and applications.

    + Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.

    + Oversee data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

    + Administer network services, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.

    + Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.

    + Collaborate with IT and security teams to enforce cybersecurity best practices.

    + Provide technical support and guidance to end users as needed.

    + Research and recommend improvements for system efficiency and scalability.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

    + Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.

    + Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments.

    + Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).

    + Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).

    + Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.

    + Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching).

    + Knowledge of backup, recovery, and security best practices.

    + Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

     

    Preferred Skills

     

    + Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: System Administrator, or Red Hat Certified Engineer.

    + Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix, etc.).

    + Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365 administration.
