    As a Material Science/Metallurgical Engineer Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs, projects in which an intern will participate will vary, depending on education level and plant, but will model the duties below to the extent possible.

    Summary of Responsibilities:

    + Daily review of production process data

    + Analyze disposition of non-conforming product

    + Participate on quality improvement teams

    + Conduct and analyze mill experiments

    + Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports

    + Analyze current operating performance and standard operating procedures and make recommendations for improvement

    + Various other projects as needed to support the business

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in the field of Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or other related technical degree

    + Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2026

     

    Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
