    Job Description:

    Position Summary:

    This role is responsible to select, source, and purchase all in store packaging supplies, as well as develop and sell centralized procurement programs (e.g. in store packaging, warehouse, cross-dock, and direct drop shipment) while maintaining necessary company gross profit margins and inventory levels.

    Here’s** **what** **you’ll** **do:

    + Analyze current product offerings and costs and propose adjustments to current product offerings included in the centralized procurement programs (e.g.in store packaging, warehouse, cross-dock, and direct drop shipment).

    + Negotiate and purchase products from vendors tomaintaininventory levels and limit or avoid aged inventory issues.

    + Execute department order processing, and partner with accounting to align order processing with the accounting process.

    + Develop,negotiateand sell the centralized procurement programsin order toincrease department sales, provide economic efficiencies to customers (e.g.reduced operating expenses) andincreaseefficiency and profitability of transactions with vendors.

    + Implement strategies to achieve department sales, inventory, service level and gross profit goals.

    + Maintain understanding of issues relevant to the company and our business beyond this department. Use cross-functional knowledge to expand the impact of central procurement beyond traditional boundaries.

    + Act as a change agent, challenge status quo, and take ownership of new initiatives to reduce operating expenses and be a catalyst for manufacturers to alter their perception of doing business with the company.

    + Develop trustful relationships with company peers and vendors.

    + May travel to attend annual company expos or meet with specific customers or vendors.

    + Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

    Here’s what you’ll need:

    + Bachelor's Degree (Required) Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or other relatedfieldsor equivalentcombinationof education and experience.

    + Three years procurement experience.

    + Good oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills including a strong ability to present newideas andpersuade individuals.

    + Good attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.

    + Ability to multi-task. Strong mathematical aptitude, financial acumen and analytical skills.

    + Working knowledge of products and services and industry trends.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Access.

    + Working knowledge of buying systems (BICEPS Preferred).

    + Ability to travel up to 25% to company locations and expos.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
