Salary: $812 / Week

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Behavioral Classroom Aide. The Behavioral Classroom Aide provides behavioral support services in the school setting.

+ Student Support

+ Provide 1:1 behavioral assistance to students with autism, ADHD, emotional or developmental needs

+ Support students in general education and special education classrooms

+ Reinforce positive behaviors and help reduce disruptive or unsafe behaviors

+ Behavior Plan Implementation

+ Follow individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by school psychologists or BCBAs

+ Use strategies such as redirection, prompting, and reinforcement

+ Assist with de-escalation and crisis intervention when needed

+ Data Collection & Reporting

+ Record behavioral data daily to track student progress

+ Document incidents, interventions, and outcomes accurately

+ Share updates with teachers, specialists, and supervisors

+ Collaboration

+ Work closely with teachers, aides, and support staff

+ Participate in IEP meetings or team discussions when appropriate

+ Communicate effectively with school personnel and families

+ Classroom & Campus Support

+ Assist with transitions, routines, and classroom management

+ Escort students between classes or to designated areas

+ Support inclusion and engagement in academic and social activities

Minimum Requirements:

+ High School diploma or its equivalent.

+ Associates degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

+ Current Health Certificate (if applicable)

+ Current CPR card.

+ Current TB Skin test or Chest X-ray
