    Salary: $1246 / Week

     

    The Long-Term Acute Care Registered Nurse provides planningand delivery of direct and indirect patient care to medically complex patientsin long-term acute settings.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Current RN license for the state in which the nursepractices in

    + One (1) year nursing experience in a long-term acute carefacility preferred

    + Experience in acute rehabilitation for vents, wound care,cardiac, and stable post trauma patients

    + Current CPR if applicable

    + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

    + Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

    + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age

     

    Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC)Registered Nurse (RN)

     

    The LTAC RN is ahighly skilled and compassionate nursing professional responsible for providingspecialized care to patients with complex, chronic, and critical conditionsrequiring extended hospitalization. This role demands strong clinical judgment,attention to detail, and the ability to manage high-acuity patients in afast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. The LTAC RN works closely withphysicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and other healthcareprofessionals to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

     

    Essential Duties andResponsibilities

     

    + Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with long-term acute medical needs

    + Perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical exams, and health histories

    + Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies per physician orders

    + Monitor and document patient responses and changes in condition

    + Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans

    + Manage ventilator-dependent patients, wound care, and complex medication regimens

    + Provide education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning

    + Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

    + Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards

    + Respond to emergencies including rapid deterioration, falls, or code situations

    + Advocate for patients and uphold confidentiality and rights

    Minimum Requirements

    + Current RN license in the state of practice

    + Minimum one year of professional nursing experience; LTAC or critical care experience preferred

    + Completion of Amergis' Competency Program (if applicable)

    + Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)

    + TB screening and health clearance (as required)

    + Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

    + Successful completion of new hire orientation and LTAC training

    + Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality

    + Strong communication skills and proficiency in English

    + Basic computer literacy

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
