SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for managing and coordinating the Central Region (Hershey Medical Center and ambulatory/outpatient sites) Infection Prevention and Control program to minimize the risk of exposure to infectious and/or communicable diseases for patients, employees, students, volunteers, and visitors. Ensure compliance with applicable institution, state and federal regulations and accreditation standards. Manages the daily operations of the infection prevention department in the hospital.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

+ Bachelor’s degree in nursing, lab, or other healthcare related fields.

+ Three (3) years of related leadership experience required.

+ Certification in Infection Control within three (3) years of hire or transfer to role required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

+ Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment.
