The Leonardo DRS Land Systems business is a recognized leader in the design and integration of complex technologies into new and legacy systems and platforms for global military and commercial customers. We are a 5 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

+ Analyze material and program reports to understand issues and create action plans

+ Oversee the day-to-day activities of the planners and coordinators

+ Create and maintain special reports

+ Interface with production and engineering to understand and resolve issues

+ Enforce company and department policies and procedures

+ Monitor metrics and take action as appropriate

+ Actively involved in program closure activities

+ Communicate and clarify departmental goals and metrics

+ Responsible for ensuring monthly budgets are not exceeded, takes action to realign to plan if budgets are exceeded

+ Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company

Job Responsibilities Part II

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering or equivalent experience A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in high technology, aerospace or defense

+ Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures

+ Demonstrated management skills, particularly “influence management” and “conflict resolution”

+ Experience throughout the product lifecycle from New Product Introduction through obsolescence to include: generation of system and subsystem statements of work and subcontracts, strategic supplier selection, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts including implementation for cost reduction and performance improvement efforts

+ Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFAR regulations

+ Strong customer interface skills

+ Demonstrated problem solving skills

+ Demonstrated success in managing manpower planning, program reviews, scheduling and budget control

+ Must have a successful track record in managing complex aerospace/defense supply chain activities

+ Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
