    Job Description

    A client of Insight Global is seeking a Electrical/ Civil Purchasing manager to join their team for a six month contract to hire. This individual will play a key role in managing the electrical and civil aspects of high-voltage substation projects across the nation, including both GIS and AIS systems. The main focus will be finding and working with subcontractors—negotiating pricing, defining scopes of work, and setting contract terms to ensure everything runs smoothly and cost-effectively. In this role, one needs to build strong relationships with these partners and maintain clear communication throughout each project. This job will involve reviewing early-stage engineering drawings and turning them into accurate cost estimates along with bid execution and review. This individual will be responsible for end to end RFQs, RFIs, & RFP execution. To do this well, this individual must collaborate closely with internal teams, equipment suppliers, and vendors to gather all the necessary details and develop competitive proposals.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    3+ years of experience in power transmission, substation, or electrical construction purchasing

     

    Experience with civil or electrical purchasing Substation install project experience

     

    Experience with negotiation or estimation
