    Job Description

    The Intern, Solution Design and Implementation assesses and conducts projects and processes in support of various departments. This position develops and implements complex supply chain solutions that span various transportation modes and include logistics and technology capability across all business units of ArcBest.

    Responsibilities

    * Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.

    * Develop a solution designed to meet requirements of various departments, customers, and ArcBest subsidiary companies.

    * Manage a key project during the internship that is focused around supply chain solutions including consolidation, pool distribution, mode optimization, and process improvement.

    * Job shadow various roles within Enterprise Customer Solutions within the first 4 weeks.

    * Complete fast track training on transportation, logistics, and supply chain within the ArcBest business.

    * Other duties and projects, as assigned.

    * Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.

    Requirements

    Education:

    * Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain and Logistics, Business, or Engineering Major, preferred

    * Completed Junior academic year, preferred

    Experience:

    * No prior experience necessary

    Computer Skills:

    * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, preferred

    Additional Requirements:

    * Available for travel, as needed.

    Other Details

    Work Hours:

    * This is a part time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours generally fall between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.

    Compensation:

    * This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
