    **Morton Plant Hospital,** a nationally recognized leader in patient care and clinical innovation, is seeking a skilled and compassionate **Acute Physical Therapist** to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy services to patients in an acute hospital setting, supporting recovery from surgery, injury, or illness.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for patients with acute medical conditions.

    + Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence (ADL’s).

    + Deliver therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait training, and patient education.

    + Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.

    + Document patient progress and treatment in the electronic medical record system in accordance with BayCare standards.

    + Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and families.

    + Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and state regulations.

    Qualifications:

    + Required BLS (Basic Life Support)

    + Required PT (Physical Therapy)

    + Or PT (Physical Therapy) Eligible to obtain

    + Or PT (Physical Therapy) Temporary and licensure within 6 months

    + Required Bachelor's Physical Therapy, preferred Master's/Doctoral

    + Preferred 1-year Physical Therapist

    + Acute care experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations in acute settings are welcome.

    + Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and teamwork skills.

    Preferred Skills:

    + Experience with neurological, orthopedic, or cardiopulmonary patient populations.

    + Familiarity with BayCare EMR systems and documentation protocols.

    + Ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment.
