As a Strategic Sourcing Intern at Lowe’s, you’ll gain firsthand experience in how a FORTUNE® 100 company sources, negotiates, and manages supplier relationships to deliver value across our enterprise. You’ll work alongside sourcing and procurement leaders who develop strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supply assurance for thousands of products and services. Summer Internship Program

Whether you're starting your professional journey or pivoting to a new field, Lowe's offers the resources and opportunities you need to thrive. Our 10-week summer internship program (May 26th – July 31st) immerses you in real-world retail operations. You'll work directly with industry experts across our stores, distribution centers, and corporate offices, gaining practical experience through hands-on projects that make meaningful contributions to our business and communities.

Do Your Best Work in Mooresville

This internship is based at our headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. Our corporate office is a space where you can collaborate and do your best work. Take a walk, grab a bite (or a cup of coffee), work out or get a check-up – we invest in you so you can find your inspiration.

What You Will Learn

+ Assist in the development and execution of sourcing strategies across multiple categories.

+ Conduct supplier research and analyze market trends to support decision-making.

+ Evaluate supplier proposals and participate in negotiations to drive cost savings and value.

+ Partner with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations, and merchandising) to align sourcing strategies with business needs.

+ Support contract management activities, including compliance tracking and performance reporting.

+ Gain exposure to supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives within sourcing.

Minimum Qualifications

+ Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, business, finance, economics, or related field.

+ Expected graduation dates of December 2026 or May 2027.

Preferred Skills/Experience

+ 3.0 cumulative GPA.

+ Proficient in MS Office programs (specifically in Power Point, Excel and data analysis tools).

+ Communication skills must be comfortable speaking with to a variety of people.

+ Financial acumen must be able to work with numbers and easily discuss.

+ Strong interpersonal, collaborative, problem solving, analytical, organizational, communication and presentation skills.

+ Relevant internship or experience with project management, supply chain, finance, sourcing or procurement is a plus.

+ Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization.
