Description
Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
+ Prepare journal entries for accruals, actual expenses, reserves, cash activity, and other general ledger transactions.
+ Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts, identifying trends and explaining variances to prior periods.
+ Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including reconciliation of subledgers (e.g., AP) to the general ledger and resolution of discrepancies.
+ Prepare and review reconciliations for payables, accruals, and other key accounts.
+ Respond to financial inquiries and special reporting requests from the Director of Corporate Accounting and other internal stakeholders.
+ Conduct ad hoc reporting and business analysis; extract, sort, and interpret data using Oracle financial tools and Excel.
+ Participate in system testing activities, including acceptance, validation, and verification processes.
+ Maintain vendor records, ensuring proper documentation (e.g., W-9s, contracts) and supporting 1099 preparation.
+ Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all financial close and reporting activities.
+ Perform additional duties and projects as assigned within the scope of accounting and finance operations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
+ Solid problem-solving skills, which include well-supported proposed solutions to issues.
+ Must be detail oriented with a strong ability to multitask.
+ Organized, Flexible self-starter
+ Consistently meets critical deadlines
+ Strong spreadsheet experience required (experience with pivot tables, macros, for example).
+ Good written and oral communication skills

+ Office environment
Experience/Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
+ 2 to 5 years prior accounting experience,
+ Oracle knowledge preferred
+ Understanding of US GAAP
