    Description:

    Full time - 7am - 3:30pm, every other weekend and every other holiday

    JOB SUMMARY:

    + Ensures the daily operations of the department including, but not limited to scheduling of staff, disciplinary action, safety, communication, project/workflow, and performance of staff duties as required.

    + Assist in the recruitment and development, retention, and evaluation of staff

    + Facilitates problem solving related to patient, visitor, staff or employee complaints.

    + Provides detailed hospital documentation in conjunction with Human Resources, Health Office and Risk Management records as well as staff related events.

    + Applies basic Industry Standard cleaning principles

    EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

    AAS degree in related field with one to two years progressive experience within a hospital setting, OR high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of four years progressive experience within a hospital setting, preferably Healthcare housekeeping experience. Supervisory experience required

    PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, push and pull.

     

    Work in a high volume, high stressed environment

    SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal, motivational and conflict resolution skills. Strong participatory management, team building and administrative skills. Broad based knowledge of related regulatory compliance requirements.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:

    Exposure Class I or II, service specific – limited exposure to situation which could cause serious illness or injury (II), routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions (I).

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Medium work: Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, push and pull.

    WORK CONTACT GROUP:

    All services, employees, medical staff, patients, visitors, vendors, various regulatory and professional agencies.

    SUPERVISED BY:

    Director or Manager

     

    Pay Range: $20.20 - $29.30

     

    Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
