As a **Security Professional- Armed Patrol** in **Norfolk, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the site, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. This position requires you to be armed, and you will be expected to demonstrate professionalism and sound judgment at all times. You will also provide outstanding customer service by assisting employees and visitors, answering questions, and communicating clearly and respectfully. What You’ll Do:

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate armed response protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

+ Monitor for unusual activity or potential threats within the location and promptly report findings according to site protocols.

+ Support access control measures by verifying credentials and authorizations for entry to restricted areas within the facility.

+ Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and client site expectations.

+ Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as directed during emergency or escalated situations.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
