    We are currently seeking a high-energy, self-driven, detail-oriented, and experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in root cause analysis and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for a leading manufacturer of battery systems for aerospace/defense applications.

    Responsibilities will include:

    Quality & Compliance:

    * Lead root cause investigations using 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys; drive corrective and preventive actions.

    * Develop and manage QMS documentation (policies, procedures, forms) to ensure compliance with aerospace standards and customer requirements.

    * Track and report quality metrics through data analysis and regular updates.

    * Investigate quality issues across suppliers, WIP, and finished goods to support production schedules.

    * Conduct and document internal audits per AS9100 and performance effectiveness standards.

    * Audit & Supplier Management:

    * Serve as primary audit liaison; coordinate facility access and support audit integrity.

    * Monitor nonconformances; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.

    * Collaborate with process owners to document best practices and standard procedures.

    * Maintain supplier quality records; manage audit interactions and issue resolution.

    * Research production and purchasing history to support investigations and process improvements.

    * Ensure QMS-compliant recordkeeping and audit readiness.

    * Continuous Improvement & Support:

    * Lead and participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives.

    * Deliver training on quality systems and best practices.

    * Provide backup for final inspection, receiving inspection, and calibration functions.
