    Job Purpose

     

    As a Field Specialist at Weatherford, you'll apply technical expertise to deliver exceptional service solutions across our product and service lines. This role offers a clear career progression path from entry-level to senior positions, with increasing responsibilities and autonomy:

     

    + **Entry & Intermediate Levels:** Perform technical operations under direct supervision, mastering standard techniques and procedures

    + **Senior & Fully-Qualified Levels:** Lead junior specialists, troubleshoot complex technical issues, recommend design improvements, and serve as the primary client interface at well sites

     

    Senior specialists leverage their extensive field knowledge to support research initiatives, manage Weatherford personnel on-site, and work with advanced technologies to optimize service delivery and product quality.

    Key Responsibilities** **Safety, Security & Compliance

    + Uphold Weatherford's commitment to ethical operations and corporate governance

    + Prioritize Quality, Health & Safety, Security and Environmental protection as non-negotiable core values

    + Drive continuous improvement in HSE practices, incorporating responsible care and industry best practices

    + Demonstrate effective safety leadership for team members and visitors (supervisory roles)

    Quality Assurance

    + Maintain thorough knowledge of Weatherford's Quality policies and Management System

    + Prioritize service quality across all operations and actively identify improvement opportunities

    Technical Operations

    + Participate in daily operations meetings, safety briefings, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)

    + Maintain equipment and facilities to highest safety and operational standards

    + Analyze field data to recommend optimal service solutions to clients

    + Execute comprehensive job planning, tool preparation, mobilization, and documentation

    + Provide 24/7 on-call support to meet client needs

    + Test, operate, and maintain specialized equipment according to established protocols

    + Build and nurture positive client relationships to ensure business continuity

    + Manage on-site inventory and supply requirements efficiently

    + Collaborate with R&M teams on equipment failure investigations and root cause analysis

    + Perform engineering calculations and data interpretation to optimize service delivery (Intermediate/Senior)

    + Oversee installation of complex equipment and services (Senior)

    Communication & Collaboration

    + Maintain effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders

    + Clearly articulate expectations and responsibilities to team members (supervisory roles)

    Financial Responsibility

    + Demonstrate fiscal accountability in all operations and expense management

    + Ensure costs remain within approved budgets and follow financial policies

    Professional Development

    + Take ownership of personal career development and required training

    + Engage regularly with management to discuss performance and growth opportunities

    + Support talent management initiatives through coaching and mentoring (supervisory roles)

    + Collaborate with HR to develop recruitment and retention strategies (supervisory roles)

    Leadership

    + Demonstrate ethical behavior and adherence to Weatherford standards at all times

    + Mentor junior specialists and lead by example in technical excellence and safety culture

    Qualifications** **Required

    + 2½-4 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + Understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic fundamentals

    + Proficiency in mathematics and basic physics/chemistry principles

    + Computer literacy and data analysis capabilities

    + Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

    + Excellent time management and organizational abilities

    + Physical capability to perform required field tasks

    Preferred

    + Technical Certificate from an accredited Technical/Vocational School

    + Previous experience with Weatherford equipment or similar oil field services

    + Advanced troubleshooting skills for complex technical systems

    Working Conditions

    + Field-based position with extensive time at well sites

    + Requires 24/7 on-call availability to respond to client needs

    + Travel requirement: 50-75% domestic and potentially international

    + Work in various weather conditions and potentially remote locations

    + Adherence to all safety protocols and PPE requirements
