Supply Chain Specialist

Adecco is assisting a client in **South Plainfield, NJ,** in hiring a **Supply Chain Specialist** for a **6-month contract** role. This fully onsite position supports procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier coordination to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
+ Maintain accurate inventory and ensure optimal stock levels
+ Process purchase, sales, and shipment orders
+ Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing
+ Coordinate logistics and track shipments
+ Support demand forecasting and inventory planning
+ Identify and implement process improvements
+ Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams
+ Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies
Qualifications
+ Associate degree + 2 years in supply chain/logistics (steel industry preferred) _OR_ 4 years of relevant experience (including 2 in supply chain/logistics)
+ Strong analytical and communication skills
+ Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, ERP, and supply chain systems
+ Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment & Physical Demands
+ Office setting with occasional exposure to production areas
+ Frequent computer use and communication
+ May require lifting up to 20 lbs and prolonged sitting or standing
+ PPE required in manufacturing areas
**Schedule** : Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
**Pay Details:** $22.00 to $28.00 per hour
