    Project Manager

     

    A client of ours is looking for a Project Manager for a contract role. This role is responsible for managing initiatives from concept approval through to manufacturing and launch. The ideal candidate will be skilled at coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring financial and operational targets are met, and maintaining alignment with our stage-gate process.

     

    Responsibilities of Project Manager

     

    + Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables.

    + Partner with cross-functional teams (R& D, Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Business Units) as well as external stakeholders to drive project success.

    + Lead project team meetings to ensure task completion, remove roadblocks, and escalate issues when needed.

    + Ensure accuracy and completeness of innovation information throughout the Stage-Gate process.

    + Coordinate and present platform and project reviews for project teams and senior leadership.

    + Monitor project financials to ensure performance against set targets.

    + Develop and maintain project timelines, risk assessments, and status reports.

    + Prepare and submit stage-gate documentation for approval.

    + Support portfolio reviews and business reviews with data, insights, and updates.

    + Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management tools, processes, and templates.

    + Help drive adoption of global innovation standards, methodologies, and processes across the organization.

    + Provide clear visibility, analysis, and reporting of project progress to senior leadership.

    Requirements

    Skills/Qualifications of Project Manager

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field; PMP certification a plus

    + 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in product development, consumer goods, or manufacturing.

    + Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines.

    + Strong financial acumen with experience tracking and managing project budgets.

    + Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

    + Experience with stage-gate or similar innovation processes preferred.

    + Proficiency with project management software/tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
