Position Summary:

The manufacturing engineer technician provides technical support during the design of manufacturing processes for our production facility. This position will report to Operations Manager.

Essential Functions of the Job:

+ Assists in the fabrication and repair of all necessary tooling and machines.

+ Assists in troubleshooting day-to-day process performance issues, develops solutions, and monitors improvements.

+ Assists in the development and evaluation of manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of manufacturing best practices, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, test methods, and quality control standards.

+ Assists in the development of layouts or floor plans

+ Documents test procedures and results

+ Solves routine technical problems

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

+ Must be acceptance of ongoing change and ability to adapt

+ Basic knowledge of outlook, Word, Excel, JDE is preferred

+ Must be multitask oriented, organized, able to set priorities, and meet deadlines

+ Knowledge of production processes

+ Ability to work well with others

+ Effective communication skills

+ Ability to accept added responsibility

+ Prior experience working in a lean manufacturing environment is preferred

+ Metal Forming/Welding/Fabrications experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Education and Experience:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

+ 3-5 years of manufacturing processes experience
