    Position Summary:

    The Lead Engineer plans and executes the overall maintenance HVAC requirements of the KFC Yum! Center. The position also leads the HVAC Maintenance Tech in order to repair and maintain the KFC Yum! Center.

    Essential Functions:

    + Provides suggestions and assist with developing long term maintenance strategies for the KFC Yum! Center.

    + Establishes procedures to handle all maintenance emergencies with Maintenance Manager.

    + Plans, reviews, and implements preventative maintenance programs in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager.

    + Assist with coordinating & research of potential contractors to develop quotes for all capital projects as directed by the Director of Operations.

    + Implements procedures that ensure the safety of all employees through proper training and observation.

    + Ensure HVAC maintenance and engineering support is provided for all events, via the Metasys system.

    + Monitors daily temperature controls to meet departmental needs. Trouble shoot and provide solutions regarding boilers and chillers.

    Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):

    A minimum education level of: Associates of Arts/Sciences Degree (2-year)

     

    Preferred: BA/BS Degree

    Years of related work experience: 3-5

    A minimum of (3) years leading a team of a minimum of two team members. Thorough knowledge in operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology and event-related services and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility.

     

    Demonstrated understanding of electrical, mechanical, HVAC and other systems.

     

    Building HVAC automation and controls experience.

     

    Demonstrated experience organizing and prioritizing work to meet deadlines. Ability to listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

     

    Possess licenses, certifications or training required by local, state or national authorities for the operation of equipment including, but not limited to, HVAC and forklift operation.

     

    Must be able to work extended hours including, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

     

    Must be able to climb, crawl, bend, and stoop with or without reasonable accommodations.

     

    Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

     

    Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely.

     

    Willingness to work different shifts and extended hours as needed, to support scheduled events.
