Join Capgemini as a Senior Software Engineer and make a significant impact in developing innovative C based applications for medical devices on Linux OS. This role is ideal for a motivated individual passionate about delivering outstanding software solutions in the medical industry.

Your role

• Develop modern C (11’ or newer) based standalone medical device applications in Linux OS

• Experience developing UI with Qt

• Lead conceptualization, prototyping, design, and unit testing of application software

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to improve application functionality

• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and address software issues.

Your skills and experience

• 5 years of experience in application software development, with at least 2 years in the medical device or other regulated industries

• Shown proficiency in C development on Linux, including object-oriented programming, debugging, and design patterns

• Hands-on experience in GUI development in Qt is mandatory requirement for this position.

• Experience developing and editing cmake files and build scripts in a command line (bash) environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and within a team

• Participates in preclinical system experiments in the lab, with physicians, and 3rd parties

• Qualifications: Bachelors or master’s in computer engineering/ science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related fields.

Optional skills and skill proficiencies

• OpenGL experience

• Experience with software configuration management tools for source code control (Git), issue tracking (Jira), requirements management (JAMA)

• Experience with scrum framework

• Experience with IEC 62304 or FDA Class 3
