• Journeyman Electrical Engineer

    KIHOMAC (Layton, UT)


    + Perform technical analysis associated with the assigned task area for problems with specific objectives and requiring investigation of a limited number of variables

    + Make recommendations on technical alternatives, component design or selection, and/or adaptation to meet assigned requirements

    + Perform duties under supervision of senior engineer(s)

    + Follow, perform, and record the results of the execution of a test plan

    + Other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    Education/Training:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required

    + Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred

    Experience:

    + 2+ years of professional experience in the required task area

    + Experience with Agile, CMMI\TSP\PSP, AS9100, or other process model for software development

    + Knowledge reading and creating schematics and requirements documents

    + Familiarization with software configuration management\defect tracking tools and peer reviews

    + Knowledge of computing systems and software structure Experience creating flowcharts, diagrams, and other documentation in IBM DOORs or Microsoft Office

    + Experience with DoDAF and modeling/simulation (e.g., CORE, Genesys, Azure, Jira, Confluence, etc.) would be helpful

    + Knowledge of formal test planning, procedures, execution, and reporting would be helpful

    + Military aircraft experience preferred

    Security:

    + Must be a US citizen

    + Active DoD issued security clearance at level Secret or higher required

    + Eligibility for Top Secret security clearance required

    Physical Requirements:

    + Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms

    + Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk

    + Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)

    + Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

    + Must be able to perform business travel; Travel may involve multiple days/weeks
