    Waste Connections (Puyallup, WA)


    Waste Connections** **is seeking a** **full-time Laborer** **to join our team at the** **Purdy Transfer Station** **near** **Gig Harbor, Washington** **. This position supports our recycling and waste management operations by assisting customers, maintaining site cleanliness, and ensuring safe traffic flow.

    Schedule & Compensation

    + **Thursday through Monday** , **9:00 AM – 5:00 PM**

    + **Overtime available as needed**

    + **Starting pay: $20.00 – $23.00/hour** , based on experience

    Key Responsibilities

    + Greet and assist customers with recycling and waste disposal questions

    + Direct traffic to ensure safe and efficient flow within the facility

    + Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the transfer station and recycling areas

    + Support general site upkeep and safety protocols

    Qualifications

    + **Valid driver’s license required**

    + Minimum **1 year of work experience** , preferably in a customer service or labor-intensive role

    + Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

    + Capable of lifting up to **50 lbs** regularly

    + Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety

    + This is a **safety-sensitive position**
