    We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in Java and Spring Ecosystem, microservices architecture, and cloud-native technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in database management systems, software development methodologies, and integrating AI/ML models into applications. This role involves developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance microservices to support our back-office operations and field agents.

     

    _Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance._

     

    _Rate: $60-$65/ hr. w2_

    Responsibilities:

    • Software Development:

    o Design, code, test, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.

    o Develop RESTful APIs and microservices with a focus on scalability and performance.

    • Microservices Architecture:

    o Implement microservices with service discovery, circuit breakers, and API Gateway solutions (Spring Cloud Gateway or AWS API Gateway preferred).

    o Ensure microservices are designed following 12-factor app principles.

    • Cloud & Containerization:

    o Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes for container orchestration and Docker for containerization.

    o Utilize AWS cloud services (EKS, ECS, Lambda, RDS) for application deployment and management.

    • Database Management:

    o Work with Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL for database management, including query optimization and performance tuning.

    o Use ORM frameworks like Hibernate/JPA for database interactions.

    • Messaging & Event Streaming:

    o Implement messaging and event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka or similar platforms (RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS).

    • AI/ML Integration:

    o Integrate AI/ML models into Java applications using frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch and cloud services like AWS SageMaker or Azure ML.

    • Security & Testing:

    o Apply secure coding practices and implement OAuth2, JWT for authentication and authorization.

    o Use testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, TestContainers) for test-driven development.

    Experience Requirements:

    Experience & Qualifications:

    • Experience:

    o 3+ years of experience in database management systems.

    o 3+ years of experience in coding, testing, and designing software.

    o 3+ years of experience in software development methodologies.

    • Skillset:

    o Proficient in Java 8+ and the Spring Ecosystem.

    o Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS cloud services.

    o Strong knowledge of database technologies and ORM frameworks.

    o Familiarity with messaging platforms and event-driven architecture.

    o Exposure to AI/ML frameworks and integration.

    • Soft Skills:

    o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    o Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    o Excellent communication skills

     

    _Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range._
