Job Summary:
Reporting the the Vice President of Transplant Services, incumbent will support the growth of the Service Line by interfacing with referral sources, educating providers about transplant and ensuring that patients and referring sources are provided with the highest level of customer service. Incumbent will also participate in developing and executing growth strategies, as well identify and apply for funding sources to underwrite marketing and outreach strategies.
Responsibilities:
+ With guidance from with the Clinical Leadership of the Kidney Liver and Heart Transplant Programs, design educational presentations and other materials for presentation to patients and referring physicians.
+ Cultivate sound working relationships and establish ongoing dialogue with Dialysis Centers and other referral sources.
+ Establish databases designed to track referring provider data
+ Participate in developing programs that distinguish the Service Line
+ Serve as an ambassador of the Tranplant Service Line; Liase between the Transplant Programs and Dialysis Centers/Referring Physicians to ensure their needs for information are met.
+ Travel to Dialysis Units and other referring sources to educate patients and staff on the benefits of kidney, liver and/or heart transplantation.
+ Coordinate online presentations to referring physicians on various topics in transplantation.
+ Participate in marketing efforts to promote the Transplant Service Line at WMCHealth
+ Track patient referrals and proactively identify emerging trends.
+ Coordinate onsite educational seminars for patients and healthcare providers.
+ Spearhead community outreach initiatives to raise awareness around transplant and living donation
+ Identify and write up grant and foundation requests to fund initiatives that support the needs of our patient population
+ Manage all online content for the Service Line, ensuring it is accurate, up to date and timely
+ Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience:
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting, required
+ Experience in the Transplant service line, preferred
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree, required
+ Masters’ degree, preferred
Licenses / Certifications:
N/A

+ Possess excellent interpersonal as well as oral and written communication skills
+ Have established facility and comfort in presenting in front of large groups
+ Be able to effectively manage competing priorities
+ Possess excellent organizational skills
+ Be committed to excellent customer service
+ Be conversant in Microsoft office
+ Spanish speaking preferred but not required
