    Required Skills:

    Data Scientist, Product Analytics Responsibilities:

    1. Applying expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how Meta users interact with our consumer and business products.

    2. Mine massive amounts of data and perform large-scale data analysis to extract useful business insights.

    3. Develop data pipelines with automated, machine-learning systems that convert noisy core datasets into powerful signals of user behavior.

    4. Build models of user behaviors for analysis or to power production systems.

    5. Partner with Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities.

    6. Design and implement dashboards and reports that track key business metrics and provide actionable insights.

    7. Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions and product launches by effectively communicating results to cross functional groups.

    8. Work across areas of product operations, exploratory analysis, product leadership, and data infrastructure to help shape the future of what we build at Meta.

    9. Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches.

    10. Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and the presentation of data to develop strategies for our products that serve billions of people and hundreds of millions of businesses.

    11. Identify and measure success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics to understand trends.

    12. Define, understand, and test opportunities and levers to improve the product, and drive roadmaps through your insights and recommendations.

    13. Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy and investment decisions.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    14. Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field and 3 years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation

    15. Requires 2 years of experience in the following:

    16. 1. Performing quantitative analysis including data mining on highly complex data sets

    17. 2. Data querying language: SQL

    18. 3. Scripting language: Python

    19. 4. Statistical or mathematical software including one of the following: R, SAS, or Matlab

    20. 5. Applied statistics or experimentation, such as A/B testing, in an industry setting

    21. 6. Machine learning techniques

    22. 7. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes

    23. 8. Relational databases

    24. 9. Large-scale data processing infrastructures using distributed systems and

    25. 10. Quantitative analysis techniques, including one of the following: clustering, regression, pattern recognition, or descriptive and inferential statistics

    Public Compensation:

    $229,450/year to $235,400/year + bonus + equity + benefits
