As Senior Technology Policy Manager, you will develop and implement strategies for advancing Micron’s engagement with government on critical and emerging tech policies. You will shape tech policy discussions and regulatory frameworks that advance Micron’s position as a world technology leader, to include those related to artificial intelligence and growing market demand!
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
+ Advance Micron’s public policy objectives with the primary goal of promoting tech policy that supports Micron’s business strategy.
+ Drive development, positioning and execution of Micron senior management outreach and key collaborator engagement to relevant policymakers, ensuring external relations are aligned
+ Anticipate and assess opportunity, change, and potential risks in the legislative, regulatory, public policy and political realms.
+ More broadly, navigate sophisticated political and policy issues, including AI and technology policy, and distill key messages for a diverse variety of audiences.
+ Serve as the Government & Public Affairs Business Partner for Micron’s customer-facing business units and provide guidance on how policy mechanisms can be shaped to their benefit, to include policies that grow market demand.
+ Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the business units’ strategic goals and objectives around policy.
+ Proactively present concise and business-relevant intelligence on pertinent regulatory and governmental issues to advise our approach and deliver policy outcomes for the business.
+ Collaborate with associates at all levels within the organization, including regional teams, and with key constituents outside the company.
+ Ensure awareness of key constituencies, including governmental and non-governmental, organizations and opinion leaders who may have a positive or negative impact on the business.
Minimum** **Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in business, political science, engineering, or related field;
+ Minimum of 7 years work experience with a relevant industry, such as manufacturing or technology; previous U.S. government experience preferred.
+ Familiarity with, and interest in, product regulation and government procurement processes, particularly for microelectronics, and core understanding of national politics and U.S. government processes.
+ Excellent writing and analysis; outstanding interpersonal, as well as effective communication and presentation skills
+ Project management experience; as well as an ability to perform diverse tasks, implement in a timely and efficient manner, and prioritize goals.
+ Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and CoPilot.
+ Outstanding interpersonal skills, a desire to seek feedback and act on it, and a good sense of humor.
+ Proactive problem-solver who excels in a fast-paced environment and is ready to jump right in.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s Degree in business, political science, engineering or related fields
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$124,000.00 - $269,000.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
