    Koniag Information Technology Services (KITS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Transition Manager to support our Army customer in Huntsville, Alabama. This position requires on-site presence in Huntsville, Alabama.

    The Transition Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all transition activities to ensure continuity of operations and services. This on-site role will focus on managing the transition process for the Army Materiel Command (AMC) contract, ensuring smooth transition-in and transition-out activities with minimal disruption to services. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex transitions in government contracting environments with strong organizational and communication skills.

    Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    + Lead transition-in activities during the 30-calendar-day transition period

    + Develop a comprehensive Transition-In Plan to ensure full operating accountability

    + Coordinate all on-boarding activities with the Government and obtain required badges for personnel

    + Organize and participate in regularly scheduled transition meetings

    + Ensure team members develop expertise in current systems implementations and activities

    + Facilitate knowledge transfer with the outgoing contractor, including shadowing opportunities

    + Ensure all team members obtain approved access to required systems, tools, and documentation

    + Demonstrate the ability to assume full responsibility for all contract requirements

    + Plan and manage transition-out activities during the last 45 calendar days of the contract

    + Develop and submit a detailed transition-out plan and schedule to the COR and PCO

    + Facilitate shadowing opportunities for the incoming contractor's personnel

    + Coordinate technical exchange meetings to transfer information, processes, and data

    + Maintain current inventory of all Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Information (GFI)

    + Support reconciliation of GFE and GFI inventory as required

    + Establish and maintain effective communications with incoming contractor and Government personnel

    + Conduct weekly Transition-Out Status Meetings (or more frequently if necessary)

    + Attend Transition-In meetings held by the incoming contractor or Government

    + Ensure no degradation in support during transition periods

    + Properly close out all contract activities as defined by the Government

    + Create and maintain transition documentation and knowledge repositories

    + Develop and track transition milestones and metrics

    + Identify and mitigate transition risks and issues

    + Report transition status and progress to leadership

    Education and Experience:

    Required:

    + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field

    + 3+ years of experience in transition management, project management, or related role

    + Experience with government contracting transitions

    + Background in developing and implementing transition plans

    + Knowledge of knowledge transfer methodologies and best practices

    Required Skills and Competencies:

    + Strong project management skills with focus on transition activities

    + Experience developing comprehensive transition plans

    + Knowledge of government contracting processes and requirements

    + Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities

    + Experience coordinating knowledge transfer activities

    + Ability to manage multiple transition tasks simultaneously

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    + Experience conducting effective meetings and status reporting

    + Knowledge of documentation and information management

    + Understanding of government security and badging requirements

    + Experience with inventory management and reconciliation

    + Strong problem-solving and risk management skills

    + Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

    + Experience developing and tracking transition metrics

    + Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines

    + Knowledge of change management principles

    + Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders

    + Ability to maintain continuity of operations during transitions

    + Understanding of government IT systems access procedures

    + Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances

    + Willingness to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama

    Desired Skills and Competencies:

    + Master's degree in Business Administration or related field

    + Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

    + Experience with Army or DoD transitions

    + Knowledge of AMC operations and structure

    + Background in IT service management transitions

    + Experience with ITIL processes

    + Knowledge of government property management procedures

    + Experience with technical knowledge transfer methodologies

    + Background in government IT systems and access requirements

    + Experience developing training and transition materials

    + Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations

    + Experience with contract closeout procedures

    + Background in performance management during transitions

    + Experience managing transition teams

    + Knowledge of technical documentation standards

    + Experience with automated tracking tools for transitions

    + Understanding of government security clearance processes

    + Background in service level agreement management during transitions
