Responsibilities

Our busy Urgent Care Clinic in Altoona, IA is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging exams while also assisting with general clinical tasks to support overall patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Perform high-quality diagnostic X-rays in accordance with provider orders and safety protocols

+ Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures with attention to comfort and safety

+ Maintain accurate records and documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system

+ Ensure proper function, cleanliness, and safety of radiology equipment

+ Support urgent care clinical team with additional duties such as:

+ Taking vital signs

+ Rooming patients

+ Assisting with procedures or specimen collection as needed

+ Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and radiation safety guidelines

+ Maintain radiologic technologist licensure and certifications

+ Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members to ensure seamless care

Qualifications

+ Current ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (required)

+ Iowa Permit to Practice Radiography (required)

+ Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program

+ Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)

+ Prior experience in urgent care, outpatient, or emergency setting preferred

+ Strong patient service and communication skills

+ Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

+ Willingness to assist in general clinical and administrative tasks when not performing X-rays
