    About the Role

This is a hands-on, dock-based role focused on managing the flow of packages and personnel through the loading dock of a high-traffic office building. The Dock Operations & Facilities Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring secure access, efficient delivery handling, and light facilities support. This is not a traditional office-based position — the role is physically located at the dock and requires a proactive, service-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.

    What You’ll Do

    Dock Operations & Logistics

+ Receive, log, and dispatch incoming and outgoing packages and deliveries.

+ Coordinate with tenants, vendors, and delivery personnel to ensure timely and accurate handling of shipments.

+ Maintain documentation and tracking systems for all dock activity.

+ Monitor dock cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.

    Access Control & Security Support

+ Serve as a checkpoint for individuals entering and exiting the building via the dock.

+ Verify credentials and ensure only authorized personnel access the premises.

+ Collaborate with building security to report and escalate any suspicious activity or access violations.

    Facilities Coordination

+ Assist with minor facilities tasks such as reporting maintenance issues, supporting vendor access, and coordinating service requests.

+ Create and manage work orders, track completion, and follow up with technicians or vendors.

+ Maintain accurate records of work orders, proposals, and vendor documentation.

    Customer Service

+ Provide professional and courteous service to building tenants, vendors, and delivery personnel.

+ Act as a liaison between internal teams and external service providers.

    What You’ll Need

+ Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

+ High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years of experience in logistics, facilities coordination, or security support preferred.

+ Strong organizational and communication skills.

+ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dock-based environment.

+ Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and work order systems.

+ Physical ability to stand for extended periods, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.

    Additional Notes

+ This role is physically located at the loading dock of the building and is not situated in a traditional office space.

+ Candidates must be comfortable working in a logistics-heavy, operational setting with exposure to deliveries, vendors, and building access points.
